Fort Hays State hit their first four shots, two of them 3-pointers, building a 12-0 lead and go on to defeat Northeastern State 77-49 Saturday afternoon at Gross Coliseum. The Tigers, playing their first game without starting point guard Craig Nicholson who was lost for the season with a leg injury Thursday, win their third straight to improve to 11-4 overall and 5-4 in the MIAA. The RiverHawks have lost five straight and fall to 3-13 and 1-8 in the conference.

Game Highlights
FHSU led by 27 late in the first half before NSU closed the gap to 17 early in the second. The Tigers answer with a 22-2 run and led by as many as 37 in the second half.
FHSU shoots 60-percent from the floor including 9-for-19 from 3-point range but turn the ball over 20 times.
Jeremy Wilson led the Tigers with 17 points. Achoki Moikobu, making his first career start at FHSU, adds 14 along with nine rebounds and six assists. Royce Williams added 12 and Dom Samac 11.
FHSU returns to action Thursday against South Dakota Mines.
