PARSONS- A Kansas man died in an accident just after 11 a.m. on Tuesday in Labette County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Freightliner semi driven by Brady Renix, Conway, AR., was eastbound on 24000 Road two miles west of Parsons.

The driver lost control on wet pavement. The vehicle jackknifed, went left of center and struck a 2010 Chevy S10 pickup head on.

The S10 driver John Troy, 88, Parson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Renix was transported to Labette County Health.
The KHP reported he was not wearing a seat belt.
