The Society of Friends of Historic Fort Hays

The annual meeting of The Society of Friends of Historic Fort Hays will be this Sunday, January 25 at 2:00 p.m.

The meeting will be held in the visitor’s center at Historic Fort Hays.

This year’s program will be presented by Bob Wilhelm, former Site Director of Historic Fort Hays.

Bob’s program will be about Fort Fletcher, the predecessor to Fort Hays.

Fort Fletcher was established in 1865 about 14 miles southeast of the present Fort Hays.

The 150th anniversary of the establishment of Fort Fletcher will be in 2015.

The public is invited to attend this free program, but only members are eligible to votes.
