KFIX Rock News: Rush Announce 40th Anniversary Tour; KC, Denver Dates Included

rushr40Rush will be back in the limelight this year: the band has announced plans to hit the road in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

The Rush: R40 Live Tour is scheduled to launch on May 8 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is mapped out through an August 1 show in the Los Angeles area.

A total of 35 dates have been confirmed for the North American trek, which comes on the heels of the November 2014 release of the R40 collector’s box set, a multiple-disc video collection available on DVD and Blu-ray that features live footage from throughout Rush’s four-decade history.

Fans attending the R40 Live Tour can expect the Canadian power trio to deliver a career-spanning set to mark their 40th anniversary.

Tickets for the select concerts will go on sale to the general public starting January 30 via Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.

Pre-sale tickets to some shows will be available to Citi card members beginning this Tuesday, January 27; for more details, visit CitiPrivatePass.com.  In addition, VIP tickets and packages are being sold at VIPNation.com.

As previously reported, Rush launched a special year-long reissue campaign in January, featuring the release of high-quality vinyl and high-resolution digital versions of 14 of the band’s albums, with at least one title arriving each month.
