Extension schedules soil fertility program in Hays

Farmers, soil fertility and the new products that come out are constantly evolving and changing.

Come hear the latest unbiased research findings on best management practices of soil fertility to achieve optimum economic yields from K-State Soil Fertility and agronomy specialist on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at the In-Depth Soil Fertility Program beginning with registration at 8:30 a.m. and concluding at 3 p.m. at the Hays Agricultural Research Center.

Some topics of discussion will be macro, secondary and micro-nutrients and what these nutrients do, tissue sampling, nutrient budgeting for the entire crop rotation, and sensor based nitrogen on wheat and row crops.

RSVP and a $10 fee are requested by Friday, Jan. 23, to your local County Extension Office or the Ellis County Extension Office at (785) 628-9430.
