FAUCETT -Law enforcement officials in Northwest Missouri are investigating a double shooting at a home in Faucett.

Authorities say Andrew Clary, 36, was shot and killed at a home located in the 12000 block of Timothy Drive. Clary has family in Doniphan County Kansas.

Clary’s girlfriend 33-year-old Amanda Simpson, St. Joseph, Mo., was also wounded. She was initially taken to Mosaic Life Care in critical condition and then transferred to a Kansas City Hospital.

Buchanan County Under Sheriff Bill Puett said the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Daron Simpson, allegedly drove a vehicle into the garage door then entered the residence where Clary and Amanda Simpson lived. Simpson then went into their bedroom where he fired a handgun at the victims.

Simpson turned himself into police early Saturday morning and is being held under investigation of murder.
