2 Kansas men injured after 3-vehicle collision

Screen Shot 2014-07-03 at 5.13.15 AMGARDEN CITY – Two people were injured in an accident just before 7 a.m. on Tuesday in Finney County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Jeep Patriot driven by Cesar U. Hernandez, 26, Liberal, was eastbound on U.S. 50 and rear-ended a 2007 Chevy Silverado that was stopped to make a left turn onto Air Links Road.

The Chevy was pushed into the westbound lanes of U.S. 50 and struck a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee head-on.

Hernandez was transported to St. Catherine’s Hospital.

The KHP reported the driver of the Silverado Salvador Martinez, 36, Garden City, was not wearing a seat belt and was injured. He was not transported for treatment according to the KHP.

The driver of the Grand Cherokee Eduardo Ramirez-Valdiviez, 21, Cimarron, was not injured.
