REMINDER: Kan. Wildlife Federation’s 64th annual meeting in Hays

The Kansas Wildlife Federation will have its 64th annual meeting in Hays this weekend.

The meeting begins at noon Feb. 21 at Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill, 3203 Vine.

At noon, Dr. Elmer Finck of Fort Hays State University will offer a free presentation on the northern long-eared bat, followed by “The Importance of Pollinators,” from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., with presenters from FHSU, the University of Kansas and Pheasants Forever.

A social hour, including live and silent auction, will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., with proceeds used to benefit KWF programs and youth outdoor activities. The auctions are free and open to the public.

The Conservation Achievement program banquet and awards will begin at 7 p.m., with featured speaker Scott Hoard, Courtland. Cost of the banquet is $25.
