WAKEENEY- A semi caught fire just after 5 a.m. on Tuesday in Trego County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported the truck fire was westbound on Interstate 70 near milepost 118 west of WaKeeney.

The truck’s trailer was destroyed and westbound traffic on the Interstate was shut down for over an hour according to the KHP.

There is no word on what caused the fire. There were no injuries.
