The Hays Police Department is investigating the report of arson and criminal damage after a house sustained damage early Thursday morning.

At approximately 6:15 a.m. Thursday the Hays Police Department received the report of damage to a house in the 400 block of West 4th Street that reportedly occurred overnight.

According to Lt. Brandon Wright with the Hays PD someone allegedly threw rocks and possibly charcoals through the windows of the house.

Wright the damage appeared to be intentional and said there were scorch marks on the house.

The house sustained minimal damage, according to Wright.

There have been no arrests made in the case and they have no suspects at this time.
