SALINA -A feces covered 3-year-old girl walking naked in a northeast Salina neighborhood late Monday afternoon led to the arrest of a man and woman on child endangerment charges.
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said officers were notified just before 6 p.m of a child wandering the streets wearing no clothes.
A neighbor covered the girl and took her into her home according.
During a check of the neighborhood, police located the child’s home.
Inside the home, officers found an infant less than a year old in a bouncy chair covered in feces, and 23-year-old Efrain Martinez, and 21-year-old Brooklyn Wylie who were just waking up.
The children were placed into protective custody.
Martinez and Wylie were arrested on requested charges of child endangerment.
Wylie was also charged with possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
