One of the loudest thunderstorms in recent memory deposited another ample dose of rainfall on Ellis County overnight Sunday.
Reports in the county ranged from 0.18 inches to more than a half inch of accumulation.
Russell County also received more than a half inch of rain, while southern Rush County had a report of 0.88 inches.
The K-State Ag Research Center reports 6.2 inches of precipitation in May, the vast majority of the 9.92 inches that have fallen in all of 2015.
Skies are expected to be clear for Memorial Day, with a chance of additional thunderstorms developing in late in the day.
