Michael Dean Graf, age 59, of Hays, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at his home. He was born June 13, 1955 in Great Bend, Kansas to Edwin and Armella (Stegman) Graf. He graduated from Great Bend High School in 1973 and attended Fort Hays State University. He married Roberta “Robbie” Weatherbee August 31, 1991 in Hays, KS.

He had been the Public Works Administrator for Ellis County for 22 years. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, he was a member of the 3rd degree Knights of Columbus St. Mary’s Council.

He is survived by his wife, Robbie of Hays; three daughters, Kendra Dreiling, Kristie May and husband Trevor and Bella all of Hays; three brothers, Jim Graf and wife Kathy of Hutchinson, KS, Tom Graf and wife Shyrlene of Ft. Collins, CO and David Graf and wife Julie of Dallas, TX; a sister, Janice Burkhead and husband Lee of Kansas City, MO; a brother-in-law, Steve Bogart and three grandchildren, Toby, Eli and Dez May all of Hays.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Norma Bogart.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hays. Private family burial.

Visitation will be Sunday 4 PM – 8 PM and Monday 10 AM – 10:30 AM all at Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel & Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS. 67601.

A Knights of Columbus St. Mary’s Council Rosary service will be Sunday at 6:30 PM followed by a parish vigil service at 7:00 PM all at the funeral chapel.at the funeral chapel.

Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Council of Ellis County or the Humane Society of The High Plains.
