RUSSELL- Two women from Russell were injured in an accident just after 6 p.m. on Sunday in Russell County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Buick Century driven by Etta L. Keil, 30, was northbound on 187th Street a mile east of Russell.
The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Old 40 and 189th Street.
The Buick entered Old 40 and collided with a 2013 Ford F250 driven by Curtis A. Counts, 54, Russell, which was westbound on Old 40.
Keil and a passenger in the Ford Karla L. Berry, 58, were transported to Russell Regional Medical Center.
Counts was not injured.
Keil was not wearing a seat belt according to the KHP.
