Game Highlights
Bell allowed five hits while striking out three and walking two to move to 2-1 on the season. He allowed only three runners past first base with one of them thrown out at the plate by Michael Burns to end the fifth inning.
Closer DJ Carr was within one out of preserving the shutout but gave up a two-out single before inducing a fly ball to center for the games final out.
One night after scoring 19 runs in a 19-5 rout, the Larks offense managed just two runs on nine hits squandering three bases loaded situations. They scored their first run a Michael Burns bases loaded walk in the fourth then on a wild pitch in the sixth.
The Larks go for the sweep in the series finale Sunday night. Free admission for the 7pm game courtesy of A&A Coors. You can also hear the contest on KAYS (1400-AM).
