Kan. teen hospitalized after pickup hits utility pole, overturns

HOLTON – A Kansas teen was injured in an accident just before midnight on Tuesday in Jackson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1994 Ford Ranger driven by Rebekah M. Lux, 18, Mayetta, was northbound on U.S. 75 just south of Holton.

The truck crossed the centerline; left the roadway to the left, entered the west ditch, struck a utility pole, crossed a driveway and overturned.

Lux was transported to the hospital in Horton.

She was properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
