HOWARD- One person was injured in an accident just before 10 a.m. on Thursday in Elk County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Hino driven by Jonathan B. Hargrave, 32, Harrisonville, Mo., was southbound on Kansas 99 seven miles south of Howard.

The vehicle dropped off the right side of the road.

The driver over-corrected and pulled the vehicle back onto the road. It crossed the centerline, clipped a northbound a 2007 Jeep, continued into the northbound ditch and rolled.

Hargrave was transported to the Sedan Hospital.
The driver of the Jeep Zelma Sharlene Trammel, 88, Moline, was not injured.

Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
