Kan. man arrested after pulling knife on neighbor, police officer

SALINA – A Kansas man is in custody after he allegedly pulled a knife on a neighbor and a police officer.

Salina Police Captain Chris Trocheck said that Jerry Allen Huff, 51, Salina, allegedly made comments directed toward the girlfriend of a teenager who lived near him in the 200 Block of East Mulberry.

The teen confronted Huff after the comments were made.

Huff then pulled a folding knife from his pocket and threatened the teen and also threatened a Salina Police officer, who had responded to the incident.

Huff was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of Aggravated Assault, two counts of Disorderly Conduct, Aggravated Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer, and Felony Obstruction.
