Kan. woman formally charged in stolen truck, chase case

HUTCHINSON – A Hutchinson woman involved in a high-speed chase with law enforcement was in court Wednesday for the formal reading of charges.

Brandi Harrington was been formally charged with felony flee and elude, possession of stolen property, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while suspended.

Just before 1 p.m. on June 28, a Reno County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a white Ford F-150 in the area of Sun City Road and Partridge Road.

The truck matched the description of the stolen vehicle report.
After the deputy attempted to make a traffic stop, the chase started and ended at Partridge Road and Blanchard.

Officers used top sticks twice. That eventually ended the chase and Harrington was arrested.

With the formal charges filed, the case will move to a future waiver-status docket.
