HOLTON – Seven people were injured in an accident just after 6 p.m. on Thursday in Jackson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Lincoln Navigator driven by Marlene L. Baldwin, 35, Horton, was southbound in the 200 Block of U.S. 75 in Holton.

The vehicle pulled out from a parking lot and struck a1999 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Jeffery M. Chestnut, 19, Onega,

Chestnut, Baldwin, two teenagers and three younger children were transported to the hospital in Holton.

All were properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
