Reggie Wilson’s bases-loaded triple drove in three and highlighted a five-run fifth inning as the Hays Larks beat the Dodge City A’s 9-4 Thursday night at Larks Park. The victory gives the Larks (18-16, 14-14) the three-game series sweep and moves them alone into third-place in the Jayhawk League North Division.

Wilson scored the fifth run of the fifth inning on a throwing error to push the Larks lead to 7-0. He finished 2-for-4 with four RBI’s.
Michael Burns led the Larks 10 hit attack going 4-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. He also made a key catch against the wall in left-center field which led to a double play in the seventh inning after the Athletics had trimmed the lead to 7-3.
Derek Birginske (3-2) allowed three runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking two over five innings for the win.
The Larks are just 2 1/2 games back of second place Liberal who lost 10-2 at home to El Dorado and has dropped their last three.
The Larks are back at home Friday for the start of a key three-game weekend series with the Wellington Heat
