ELLSWORTH COUNTY- Three people were injured in an accident just before 1:30 a.m. on Saturday in Ellsworth County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 F350 pickup pulling an Airstream trailer and driven by Denise M. Cunningham, 52, Pacific, Mo., was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of the K156 Junction.

The driver attempted to pass another vehicle and the trailer began to sway uncontrollably.

The driver lost control of the vehicle. It left the roadway and overturned.

Cunningham and passengers Joseph C. Cunningham, Jr., 52, and Megan C. Cunningham, 20, Pacific, Mo., were transported to Salina Regional Medical Center.

All were properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
