FINNEY COUNTY – Two Kansas women were injured in an accident just before 7 p.m. on Monday in Finney County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Chevy Suburban driven by Karras Dalton Blackburn, 24, Garden City, was southbound on Hund Road five miles north of Kansas 156.

High winds caused blowing dust that reduced visibility. The Suburban struck a northbound 2004 Ford F250 head on.

The Ford driven by Bradley Scott Anderson, 26, Lakin, was waiting to turn into a field to the west of the roadway.

Blackburn and a passenger Kendra Parsons, 21, were transported to St. Catherine’s Hospital.

Blackburn, Parsons and Anderson were not wearing seat belts according to the KHP.
