LENEXA – A Kansas man was injured in an accident just before 8a.m. on Monday in Johnson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Sterling dump truck driven by Tyrone E. Wallace, 44, Kansas City, was exiting a private drive at the Interstate 435 eastbound ramp to northbound Interstate 35 in Lenexa.

The truck pulled out in front of and was hit by a 2012 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by Robert B. Ripperger, 59, Lenexa.

Ripperger was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center according to the KHP.

Wallace was not injured.
