RUSSELL – A Kansas woman died in an accident just after 7 p.m. on Monday in Russell County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Ford F150 and trailer driven by Cheryl Rena Kogler, 41, Colby, was westbound on Interstate 70 two miles east of the U.S. 281 Junction.

The trailer started to fishtail and the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The truck left the roadway and rolled into the median
Kogler was transported to Russell Regional Medical Center where she died.

Passengers in the truck Ronald Lee Kogler, 48, and two children all of Colby were transported to Russell Regional Medical Center.

All were properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
