Pedestrian killed while crossing Kansas highway

ped accidentBONNER SPRINGS – A Kansas woman died while crossing a highway just after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday in Wyandotte County

On Monday evening, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Toyota Passenger car driven by Miriam E. Carlson, 71, Leavenworth, was northbound on Kansas 7 at 130th in Bonner Springs.

A pedestrian Janet K. Dull, 61, Kansas City, was crossing the intersection westbound from the southeast corner of 130th.

As the vehicle entered the intersection, it hit Dull. She was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Frontier Forensics.

There were no other injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
