In an email to Fort Hays State University staff Wednesday afternoon, Provost Graham Glynn announced the appointment of Yaprak Dalat Ward as the interim associate provost for Internationalization and Partnerships at FHSU.
Ward is set to assume her new role Aug. 7 and will serve until a permanent appointment is made through a nationwide search.
Glynn noted her unique background and interest in internationalization in making her “an ideal candidate for the position.”
Ward currently serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Advanced Educational Programs, according to her FHSU profile page.
Among her many unique qualifications for the position, she has served as Director of International Programs including International Student Services and Recruitment/Admissions at Graceland University, Director of International Career Services and International Student Services at Johns Hopkins University, is fluent in English and Turkish and has knowledge of German, Italian and French.
