After an investigation by law enforcement, a report of a sexual assault recently on the campus of Fort Hays State University has been determined to be unfounded, according to the Ellis County Attorney’s Office.

Ellis County Attorney Tom Drees said in a news release Thursday the incident, which was alleged to have occurred on June 20 in the 700 block of Park, was investigated by the FHSU Police and Hays Police Department.

After reviewing the investigation, Drees determined the allegation made by a 19-year-old female was unfounded.
