Couture-Lovelady named Outstanding State Legislator by KSRA

BONNER SPRINGS–State Rep.Travis Couture-Lovelady (R-Palco) was recently presented with the Kansas State Rifle Association’s Outstanding State Legislator Award for 2015 at their annual meeting in Overland Park. Couture-Lovelady was the lead carrier in the Kansas House of Representatives of SB-45, commonly known as the constitutional carry bill. He was also an author of HB 2074 and introduced HB 2087 which were both crucial pro-gun bills that became law July 1, 2015 in the form of HB 2331.

Kansas State Rifle Association President Patricia Stoneking congratulated Representative Couture-Lovelady and thanked him for his tireless efforts on behalf of gun owners in Kansas.

“Representative Couture-Lovelady is a very strong defender of our Second Amendment protected rights. He worked tirelessly through the 2015 legislative session to ensure passage of several pro-gun initiatives and we commend him for his efforts and thank him for his support.” stated Stoneking.

Representative Couture-Lovelady thanked President Stoneking, the Kansas State Rifle Association Board members, and all of the members of the KSRA.

“I am humbled by this thoughtful recognition of my work on this major step forward for freedom and liberty in Kansas,” said Couture-Lovelady. “Defending the Second Amendment and promoting the expansion of gun rights has always been a top priority of my public service.”

Representative Couture-Lovelady was presented with a plaque with the following inscription:
“The Kansas State Rifle Association hereby acknowledges Representative Travis Couture-Lovelady as the outstanding State Representative in appreciation and recognition for your dedication, commitment, and accomplishments related to the Second Amendment and the shooting sports.”

Couture-Lovelady serves the 110th District which includes portions of Ellis, Rooks, Norton, Phillips and Graham counties.
