SALINA – A Kansas man was injured in an accident just after 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in Saline County.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said a 1998 Dodge pickup driven by Randall E. Witte, 35, Lincoln, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of Hedville.

The driver lost control of the pickup. It struck a guardrail, left the highway and flipped. It came to rest in the ditch where it caught fire.

Other motorists pulled Witte from the pickup.

He was transported to Salina Regional Medical Center, treated and released.
