The Hays USD 489 Board of Education and the Hays National Education Association will have a negotiation meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Toepfer Board Room at the Rockwell Administration Building, 323 W. 12th.

The meeting will be the first negotiating session since the 2015-16 board convened at the beginning of the month. However the board voted to keep current negotiators — Greg Schwartz, former school board member who was unseated by voters in the spring election, and Lance Bickle, current school board president — in place.

The last negotiating session was June 23.
