Aaron Robert Fagan

Aaron Robert Fagan, age 41, of Hays, Kansas, passed away, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at KU Medical Center, Kansas City. He was born August 11, 1973, in O’Neill, Nebraska, to Gary and Roberta (Stahlecker) Fagan.

Aaron spent part of his grade school years in O’Neill until his parents bought a motel and restaurant in Scott City, Kansas where he remained until he graduated high school in 1992.  Aaron attended Fort Hays State University, where he studied History. His jobs varied over several different fields taking him to different communities. Aaron was a truck driver, handyman, pipe fitter, pumper, heavy equipment operator, engineer and finally a compressor station operator for a gas company. Aaron was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is remembered for his gift of conversation, whether it was history, religion, or politics.  He made friends for life, and made his time available for any who would ask.

Aaron is survived by his father, Gary Fagan of Hays, Kansas; brother, Kellin and wife Mitzi of WaKeeney, Kansas; sister, Amber Fagan of Lincoln, Nebraska; and three nieces, MacKenzie, Ainsley, and Sydney Fagan of WaKeeney, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his mother Roberta Fagan.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Ogallah Christian Church, Ogallah, Kansas. Burial will take place 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, in O’Neill Cemetery, O’Neill, Nebraska.

Visitation will be Monday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in WaKeeney.
