KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Police in Kansas City, Kansas, have identified a 54-year-old Missouri man shot to death earlier this week.

Police said in a release Thursday that Michel G. Ziade of Lee Summit, Missouri, was fatally shot Tuesday.

Police responded to the shooting outside a medical office building near the University of Kansas Medical Center. They said Ziade was taken to a hospital with life threatening injuries and died later from the injuries.

Police say the shooting remains under investigation.
