PALCO – A man from Hays and one from Palco were injured in an accident just before 7a.m. on Sunday in Rooks County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported 2011 Toyota Tacoma driven by Donny W. Burlison, 64, Palco, was eastbound on Kansas 18 two miles southeast of Palco.

The driver attempted to turn southbound on 5 Road.

A 2002 Ford Fiesta driven by Dillon Ray Bell, 28, Hays, rear-ended the Toyota.

Both vehicles traveled across 5 Road into the south ditch. The Toyota rolled onto the passenger side.

Burlison and Bell were transported to the Rook County Health Center in Plainville.

They were both properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
