The TMP-Marian girls golf team set a new school record Thursday. The Monarchs shot a 372 to win the Larned Invitational by 21 strokes over the host Indians at the Edwards Park Golf Course. The Monarchs broke the old record of 377 set in 199 at the Fort Hays Municipal Golf Course.
Sophomore Karee Dinkel set a school individual record with a 78 to tie for first. Dinkel lost in a scorecard playoff to finish second. Alison Helget was third with a 92 while Taylor Dinkel and Annaka Applequist both shot a 101 to finish eighth and ninth respectively.
