BARTON COUNTY- A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just before 3p.m. on Monday in Barton County.

The sheriff’s office reported a 1973 Dodge Ram pickup driven Michele N. Jeanson, 25, Cimarron, was northbound in the 700 Block of Northeast 20 Avenue.

The driver lost control of the vehicle. It crossed the centerline, left the road, entered the ditch, rolled and caught fire.

Jeanson was ejected from the vehicle

She was transported to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington and then flown to Wichita. Her current condition is not known.

The truck was destroyed by the fire.

The accident remains under investigation.
