Routine Inspection found four violations –
- Located in the east equipment storage room are pallets of Pak Taps for finished cans stored next to the wall.
- Hand towel dispenser was empty at the hand wash station.
- No Hand wash sign at the hand wash station in the production room.
- Using non-food grade 5-gallon plastic buckets, containing calcium chloride and gypsum that are used in the process of treating water that goes into the mash tun.
FHSU Lewis Field East, 600 E. Park St., Hays – Oct. 8
Routine Inspection found seven violations –
- “Sterilite” containers used for popcorn storage are not food grade
- In the Whirlpool refrigerator that has an ambient temperature of 51, packaged hot dogs are held at 51.
- The Whirlpool refrigerator does not have a thermometer.
- Both popcorn poppers have heavy accumulations of unpopped kernels, hulls and salt, and have not been cleaned since last used.
- Plastic storage containers have a heavy grease residue on the outside.
- The Northeast side fountain machine mixer does not have a vented back flow device.
- Floors have and accumulation of debris.
FHSU Lewis Field West, 600 E. Park St., Hays – Oct. 8
Routine Inspection found seven violations –
- “Sterilite”non food grade containers are used to store popcorn.
- There is no thermometer in the Whirlpool refrigerator.
- The exit door has a large gap in the bottom left corner.
- There are multiple rodent dropping throughout the facilities. There was 1 roach crawling on the floor of the storeroom.
- 2 dead mice were observed in the Southwest room.
- The floors have mouse dropping and debris.

Routine Inspection found three violations –
- Waste receptacle in women’s restroom is not covered.
- The linoleum in the bar area is peeling and is provided harborage conditions.
- 3 dead roaches on floor in backroom.
