HOLCOMB- A Kansas teen was injured in an accident just before 1p.m. on Monday in Finney County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Chevy Malibu driven by Vanessa S. Herrera, 17, Garden City, was eastbound in the 10000 block of West River Road four miles west of Holcomb.

The vehicle left the roadway on the left side, vaulted over a driveway and struck a power pole head on.

Herrera was transported to St. Catherine’s Hospital.

She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
