TMP-Marian Sophomore Karee Dinkel won the individual state championship and the TMP Lady Monarchs placed second as a team at the 3-2-1A State Golf Championship at the Cherry Oaks Golf Course in Cheney Monday.

Dinkel finished with an 85, two shots better than the second place finisher Paige Price of Caney Valley.

The Lady Monarchs had three finished in the top 20. Alison Helget tied for 16th with a 101 and Annaka Applequist and Hannah Michaud turned in a 102 and tied for 20th.

Caney Valley won the team title with a total team score of 372. The Monarchs finished with a team total of 390. Hoisington was third.
