It’s a chilly October morning — but nowhere close to a record low, according to the K-State Ag Research Center in Hays.
The overnight low of 26 was a far cry from the 11 degrees recorded on Oct. 29, 1913. The record high for this date is 93 degrees, recorded this day in 1937.
The cold snap is expected to last into the weekend, with a slight chance of showers expected this evening.
