
The Victoria Knights advanced to the second round of the 8-Man Division II playoffs Tuesday night with a 52-6 win over Triplains/Brewster.
After forcing the Titans to punt on their first possession of the game the Knights wasted no time scoring on their second offensive play; a 45-yard touchdown pass from Joe Dortland to Brady Dinkel giving the Knights an 8-0 lead.
Victoria got the ball back after another Triplains/Brewster punt and scored on the very next offensive play, a 43 yard Lane Kisner touchdown run. The Knights added two more first half rushing touchdowns, one by Joe Dortland and another by Parker Riedel. Victoria led 30-6 at halftime.
In the second half Joe Dortland completed a pair of 16 yard touchdown passes one Taylor Corly and another Grant Weber to put Victoria up 46-0. Then with 5:05 play in the third quarter Brady Dinkel scored from 11 yards out giving the Knights the 52-6 win.
The Knights racked up 306 yards of total offense and were led by Joe Dortland who was 3-for-4 for 77 yards and three touchdowns through the air. Lane Kisner led the Knights with 62 yards on seven carries.
Victoria improves to 9-0 on the season and has won 21 straight games. They advance to the Regional round Saturday, Nov. 7 at home again Minneola.
