With flu season approaching Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas and Dillons are partnering to offer flu shots at Dillons locations across Kansas. According to the Blue Cross and Blue Shield they are offering flu shots at 58 Dillons pharmacies in 27 different Kansas communities through Nov. 15.

To get a flu shot all you have to do is:

• Visit a nearby Dillons Pharmacy during regular pharmacy hours
• Provide some basic information, like name and date of birth by filling out the consent form
• Show an insurance ID card if you have coverage; if not, that’s okay
• Roll up a sleeve and get a flu shot
• Leave the store protected – and without having to pay a dime

This is an opportunity for those without insurance to receive protection from the flu without having to pay for the shot.

For those with insurance who normally would owe a copay or coinsurance for a flu shot, Blue Cross will pick up that cost – no matter which insurance carrier the Kansan has coverage through.

The CDC currently recommends that everyone 6 months of age and older receive the seasonal flu vaccine.
