HAYS -A woman from Russell was injured in an accident just after 3 p.m. on Thursday in Ellis County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1996 Ford F150 driven by Dale L. Akers, 83, Russell, pulled out in front of a 2013 Toyota Prius driven by Kurt A. Downing, 61, Hays that was westbound on the U.S. 183 Bypass at Main Street.

A passenger in the F150 Marjorie J. Akers, 84, Russell, was injured. The KHP did not indicate where she was treated.

The drivers were not injured.

All were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
