Kansas man arrested for alleged 2nd degree murder

MANHATTAN – A Kansas man, Joshua Michael Mall, 39, Riley was booked into jail for murder in the 2nd degree on Friday, according to an arrest report from the Riley County Police Department.

On October 5, Mall was the driver of a 2001 Ford Ranger traveling in the 2400 Block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard.

He lost control of the vehicle at Northfield Road and collided with a 2013 Chevy Cruz.

Immediately following the initial impact the Ford left the roadway and collided with a tree.

A child in the Ford Madilyn Mall, 6, Riley, was transported to Via Christi where she died.

According to the arrest report Mall is being held in the Riley County Jail on additional requested charges of unintentional/reckless, unlawful possession of hallucinogens/marijuana and transporting an open container.
