TREGO COUNTY – One person was injured in an accident just after 8a.m. on Sunday in Trego County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Chevy Uplander driven by James R. Barnett, 72, Yukon, OK., was eastbound on Interstate 70 just west of Ellis.

The vehicle crossed the white fog line, entered the ditch sideways and overturned several times.

Barnett was transported to Hays Medical Center. The KHP reported it was uncertain if he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
