KHP: 2 hospitalized after road rage collision

KHPWICHITA –Two people were injured in an accident just before 7:30p.m. on Tuesday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported both drivers were engaged in a road rage incident.

A 2012 GMC Acadia driven by Michele A. Snodgrass, 39, Oklahoma City, OK., was southbound on Interstate 235 just north of the Kansas 96.

The vehicle forced a 2004 Honda Civic driven by Luke A. Wetta, 31, Wichita, to the shoulder.

As the Honda re-entered the roadway it collided with the Acadia.

The collision caused the Acadia to spin out and leave the roadway on the right side.

Snodgrass and a passenger Lillian A. Snodgrass, 15, Oklahoma City, OK., were transported to St. Francis Medical Center.

Wetta was not injured. The teenager was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.

The accident remains under investigation.
