TREGO COUNTY – Two people were injured in an accident just before 8:30 a.m. Monday in Trego County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a Mitsubishi Montero driven by Wen Xu, 53, Monterey Park, Calif., was eastbound on Interstate 70 one mile east of the Kansas 147.

The driver lost control of the vehicle on an icy bridge.

The vehicle overturned rolled into the south ditch.

Xu and a passenger Min Huang, 47, San Gabriel, Calif., were transported to the Trego County Hospital.

They were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
