Sunday’s wet weather brought a dose of slushy snow, along with ample rainfall for the parched region.

Area rainfall reports ranged from 2.28 inches in eastern Trego County to just more than an inch in Hays.

According to early reports from Ellis County, between 1 and 3 inches of snow followed the rain.

A report from Osborne County measured 6 inches of snow Monday morning.

The snow fell harder in southern Kansas, with Ford County reporting between 7 and 8 inches of snowfall overnight.

Skies are expected to clear today, with sunny skies expected for the rest of the work week.
