Phillipsburg resident Gordon Dettmer passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg, KS at the age of 72.

He was born Oct. 28, 1943 in Smith Center, KS, the son of Paul & Ann (Isernhagen) Dettmer.

Survivors include his wife, Jean, of Phillipsburg; son, Scott, of Agra, KS; daughters, Lynda Riley of Ozawkie, KS and Stacy Timmer of Craig, CO; seven grandchildren; a brother, Bryce Dettmer, of Sterling, CO and two sisters, Bonnie Coop of Portis, KS and Glenda Lindholm of Crescent, OK.

Funeral services will be held Sat., Dec. 19, at 2:00 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, with Pastors Lorna Paulus and Lee Bennight officiating. Burial will follow in the Agra Cemetery, Agra, KS.

Mr. Dettmer will lie in-state on Thursday from noon – 9 p.m. and again Friday from 9 a.m-9 p.m. at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, where the family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
