Girls:  TMP 63, Oakley 39

TMP never trailed in their 63-39 romp in Oakley on Friday night.  The Lady Monarchs led by seven points after the first quarter (15-8), 11 points at halftime (31-20), 12 points after three (42-30) and the final margin of 24 points.  The Lady Monarchs were led by Megan Koenigsman with 17 points.  Kayla Vitztum had 15.

TMP improves to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the Mid Continent League.  They will host Ellis on January 8th at Al Billinger Fieldhouse.

Boys:  TMP 82, Oakley 48

 Peyton Hoffman paced a white-hot shooting TMP Monarch team with 16 first quarter points en-route to a lopsided 82-48 over the Oakley Plainsmen on Friday night in Oakley.  The two teams traded buckets back and forth through the first few minutes of the game.  TMP took control late in the first quarter leading 28-18 after one.

The Monarchs were able to build on the lead in the second quarter, taking a 50-32 advantage into the locker room at half.  TMP put the game away at the start of the third quarter with a 14-0 run to take a 64-32 lead and they were never challenged from there.  Hoffman lead the Monarchs with 20 points, Ryan Ruder added a season high 17 and Jared Vitztum had 15.

TMP is now 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the Mid Continent League.  They are now off until January 8th when they host Ellis.
